The most basic dental care is brushing your teeth. Here are a few basics that everyone should know about brushing the teeth:

Do it twice a day.
Regular bushing helps prevent the build up of any harmful elements that may damage your teeth.

Take your time.
You’re not in a race, so take the time to brush those teeth properly and thoroughly.

Have the right tools of the trade
A soft-bristled toothbrush is best, used along with a flouride toothpaste. Bristled that are too hard may damage your gums and cause bleeding. You should replace your toothbrush when the bristles become frayed, or every three months, which ever comes first. Old toothbrushes do a poor job, and a new one isn’t that expensive, so don’t scrimp out on replacing at the right time.

Visit your dentist.
At least once a year.
