Most people who wear braces experience discomfort and irritation between your lips and cheeks because of wires and brackets. Having a cut as big as your eyes can be very painful especially when food gets in between the wounds that become sores. Having this prevents you from talking and inflames your inner cheek a bit more than usual. Orthodontic wax or dental silicone is used to relief from irritation that may be caused by wires and brackets. It stops irritation between your braces and your lips, gums and cheeks. Irritation can be treated by placing the wax on the irritated parts until the irritation stops. If you swallow the wax it is specially made to be digested. Just put a small amount of wax on each irritated spot where the wire or bracket scratches then replace the wax if needed as it flakes away and loses its stick. Orthodontic waxes are available in a variety of flavors like Mint, Cherry and Unflavoured.

After the utter failure of dental implants that used screw in technology, the new trend for dental implants is to have them coated with a high-tech Na
no material that mimics bone allowing faster and more effective osseointegration. Traditional implants were either micro-etched or surfaced with etching solutions to give them a surface that the bone would have chances of growing into. The problem, the material (usually titanium) which is used for dental implants is inert so it is not rejected but also seen as part of the body so bone does not effectively attach itself to the implant. Recent studies have shown that there was a minute gap where the implant meets the bone that has an effect on the overall stability of the implant. Micro coating the implant with materials that are similar to bone in micro structure allows better osseointegration thus making the implant stronger.
